Still too early for this.

We're in shit form, but it probably won't last. It may even be a blessing in disguise it it makes the board spend money it would otherwise keep in its collective pocket.

I'd play with 3 CB. Cresswell should be 3rd choice in any position. Johnson and Cornet as wingbacks. Downes to replace Soucek as we need real grafters in midfield. Antonio and Bowen either side of Scamacca in the CF position.

We have a problem with Rice. He looks well pissed off and unmotivated. He will be off soon and I can't help feeling we can't build a team around him.

This time last season we were 18 places above Arsenal

league lacks the easier Norwich / Watford fixtures this time round

.. Twelve London derbies wont help

Re: The West Ham relegation thread 22/23
Our form for last season has continued.

5 points from the last 30. Only 9 wins in 32 games.

It's not too early to talk about relegation at all...our form makes us nailed on for it unless something changes.

We are to good to go down.......where have I heard that before? A team that had the likes of Dicanio, J. Cole, Kanoute, Sinclair, James, L. Ferdinand Defoe and Carrick in it.

I still think we should top be 6 or 7.once the new boys are settled in!

Re: The West Ham relegation thread 22/23
Unless something changes fast, that team had relegation written all over it.

Too many passengers (Creswell, soucek, antonio and lanzini I'm looking at you)
No movement whatsoever
No urgency
No plan b
And everyone knows how to play us know

Even rice and bowen look off the pace. No driving runs from rice at all.

bit soon for this.....but......had a feeeling this season would not hit the heights of the last two.

Relegation happens over a season of being shit. Many teams start slow and hit their stride. We wont go down but we may also not be top half.

Re: The West Ham relegation thread 22/23
I thought we already had a thread for this.

It's difficult to find 3 worse teams than us at the moment. Will take a while for our new transfers to settle in. One thing for sure is we should knock the cups on the head except for the Conference which we can win. For sure are not going to qualify for Europe through the PL this season.

Re: The West Ham relegation thread 22/23
Rice's penalty miss last week reminds me of Konoute's penalty against Arsenal in the 01/02 season.

And we went down that season.
